Emma Loveland became a nationally certified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter in 2019 and joined Indiana University’s ASL Program as a full-time designated interpreter for the ASL Program in 2022. She holds a European Master’s in Sign Language Interpreting, where her research explored ethics, moral reasoning, and reflective practices in interpreting. Emma’s work centers on supporting collaboration, thoughtful decision-making, and access within academic settings. She values staying current with interpreting theory and research and bringing those insights into her daily practice.
